Skyvan SC7 – Space, Power, and Reliability
The Skyvan SC7 is the only aircraft in Poland designed specifically for skydiving. It features a spacious interior, a wide rear ramp, and powerful engines that quickly lift skydivers to the required altitude. It is a reliable machine—safe, comfortable, and ideal for tasks requiring precision. And the moment the ramp opens and the jump begins is an experience that stays with you for a long time.
An aircraft designed for special missions
The Skyvan SC7 is a British transport aircraft designed in the 1960s by Short Brothers. From the outset, it was designed with versatility in mind—it was intended to carry both cargo and paratroopers while maintaining full reliability in all conditions.
Its distinctive, “boxy” silhouette and wide rear ramp quickly earned it the nickname “Flying Shoebox.” It may not sound elegant, but it perfectly captures its character—simple, sturdy, and effective.
Thanks to its well-thought-out design, the Skyvan can take off and land even on short, unpaved runways. The interior is spacious, and the ramp allows for quick and comfortable exit during jumps. For over half a century, this aircraft has served in the military, civil aviation, and skydiving, earning a reputation for being indestructible and exceptionally reliable in flight.
Two Garrett TPE 331 turbines allow the aircraft to reach an altitude of 4,200 meters in just 15–18 minutes, even when fully loaded.
The wide rear ramp ensures a comfortable and safe exit from the aircraft—whether for solo or formation jumps.
The crew consists of one or two pilots, depending on the type of operation, which always ensures complete flight safety.
The aircraft can accommodate up to 22 skydivers, which allows for the formation of large groups and effective training.
The aircraft is designed for high-altitude jumps and is equipped with oxygen tanks.
The only aircraft of its kind in Poland. It offers unique performance and configuration not found in any other skydiving aircraft in the country.
